Chap. 217.—An ACT to amend and reenact Section 349, which was added to
the Code of Virginia by Chapter 84, Acts of Assembly, 1936, prescribing who
may use the State Library, by permitting removal of manuscript material in
certain circumstances.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That section three hundred forty-nine, which was added to
the Code of Virginia by chapter eighty-four, Acts of Assembly,
nineteen hundred thirty-six, be amended and reenacted as follows:
Section 349. Who may use State Library.—The State Library
shall be for the use of State officers and such other persons as the
Library Board may deem fit, under such rules and regulations as
the. board shall adopt; provided that manuscript material shall
not be removed from the library except under regulations of the
Library Board providing for its proper protection, or except as
otherwise expressly provided by law.
