Chap. 210.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section
numbered 2773-h 1 relating to payrolls in certain counties. {H 407]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new
section numbered twenty-seven hundred seventy-three-h one as
follows:

Section 2773-h 1. The county board by resolution may require
the county manager, auditor and attorney for the Commonwealth
to certify to the treasurer the payroll of the regular employees
of the county for the successive payroll periods; upon receipt
thereof the treasurer shall pay the same as if they had been ap-
proved by the county board; all such payments shall be certified
to the county board at its next meeting for adoption or rejection.
No payment shall be made hereunder when at any meeting of the
county board a resolution opposing such method of payment has
been adopted.
