Chap. 178.—An ACT to authorize the Rector and Visitors of the College of
William and Mary in Virginia to subdivide and sell and convey the lot or
parcel of land situate in the city of Williamsburg, known as the rd S.
Opheim property. (H 312)

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The Rector and Visitors of the College of William and
Mary in Virginia are authorized, within their discretion, to sub-
divide and sell and convey the lot or parcel of real estate in the
city of Williamsburg, heretofore acquired by the College from
Leonard S, Opheim and wife. Said sales shall be made upon such
terms as the Rector and Visitors may agree upon, and subject to
the approval of the Governor of Virginia.
The Rector and Visitors are directed to hold the money received
from such sales, to be used for capital improvements of College
property, to be expended subject to the approval of the Governor
of Virginia.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
