Chap. 113.—An ACT to authorize the Governor on behalf of the Commonwealth
of Virginia to convey to any responsible corporation, association or individual
an easement over certain lands in the county of Accomack for the construc-
tion, operation and maintenance of electric power, transmission and dis-
tribution lines. {S 148]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:
1. The Governor of Virginia is authorized and empowered to
execute, in the name and on behalf of the Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia, a deed or other appropriate instrument granting and convey-
ing, upon such terms and conditions and for such consideration as
in his discretion may be proper, to any responsible corporation,
association or individual, their successors and assigns an easement
of right of way for the construction, operation and maintenance of
electric power, transmission and distribution lines over any lands
and waters of the Commonwealth on and between the following:
Tangier Island, Goose Island, Long Tump, Upper Tump, Shanks
Island, Cheeseman Island, and that portion of Smith Island being
within the Commonwealth of Virginia all within the county of
Accomack. The instrument granting and conveying such easement
shall provide for the reversion thereof to the Commonwealth of
Virginia in the event of abandonment of the right of way.
