Chap. 69.—An ACT to authorize the governing body of any county to prescribe
hours and times when certain public dance halls shall not be kept open; a to
prescribe penalities for violations. (S B 79]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia :
1. Section 1. The governing body of any county may, by
ordinance, regulate licensed public dance halls, as defined in chapter one
hundred twenty-three of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred
twenty-six, as amended, by prescribing the hours and times during which
such licensed dance halls shall not be kept open or operated in such
county.
Section 2. Any person violating any provision of any ordinance
passed under the authority of the preceding section shall be guilty of a
misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than
fifty dollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense.
