Whereas, certain agents, servants and employees of the State High-
way Commission were using a power shovel to load a truck belonging to
J. H. Cash, with crushed stone at a quarry operated by the Department
of Highways near Greenville in Augusta County, Virginia, on or about
February twentieth, nineteen hundred forty-five ; and
Whereas, while loading this truck, the rotating gear of this power
shovel slipped into neutral without the operator’s knowledge, resulting
in the dipper of this shovel striking and damaging the cab of the truck;
now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That there be paid to J. H. Cash, out of funds appropriated to
the Department of Highways, the sum of thirty-five dollars, such pay-
ment to be made by the State Treasurer upon a warrant issued by the
Comptroller. .
