Chap. 110.—An ACT to authorize and empower the governing body of the College
of William and Mary in Virginia to sell and convey a lot of land situate in the
City of Williamsburg, Virginia. [H B 145]

Whereas, the College of William and Mary in Virginia is the own-
er of a certain tract or parcel of land with improvements thereon which
is no longer needed for college purposes; and the college has entered
into an agreement for the sale thereof to A. G. Rodgers, Jr., for the sum
of eleven thousand one hundred and eleven dollars, deemed by the col-
lege to be the fair market value thereof, and has delivered to the pur-
chaser a deed for said property, subject to confirmation by act of the
General Assembly ; Now, therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the governing body of the College of William and Mary
in Virginia, be and it hereby is authorized and empowered to sell and
convey by proper deed all that tract or parcel of land with improvements
thereon, situate at the northeast intersection of Prince George Street
and Armistead Avenue in the City of Williamsburg, to the purchaser
A. G. Rodgers, Jr., for the consideration of eleven thousand one hundred
and eleven dollars, which sum has already been paid in full. And that
all things and acts done by or on behalf of the College of William and
Mary in Virginia in conveying title to said lot to the said A. G. Rodgers,
Jr., be and the same hereby are ratified and confirmed.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
