Chap. 106.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 4, as amended, of Chapter
180 of the Acts of Assembly of 1914, approved March 21, 1914, which amended
and re-enacted Chapter 114 of the Acts of Assembly of 1874, approved March
16, 1874, as that chapter was amended, which latter chapter incorporated and
provided a charter for the Town of Boydton, the section relating to certain of-
ticers of the town. [S B 1/9]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That section four, as amended, of chapter one hundred eighty
the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred fourteen, approved March
enty-one, nineteen hundred fourteen, which amended and re-enacted
apter one hundred fourteen of the Acts of Assembly of eighteen hun-
ed seventy-four, approved March sixteen, eighteen hundred seventy-
ur, as amended, be amended and re-enactd. as follows:

. Section 4. The offices of clerk of the council, and commissioner of
e revenue, town treasurer, and town sergeant shall be filled by ap-
intment by the council of the town.

2. An emergency exists and this act 1s in force from its passage.
