Chap. 83.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1, as amended, of Chapter 375
of the Acts of Assembly of 1930, approved March 24, 1930, providing for the
education of children of persons killed or totally and permanently disabled as a
result of service in World War I or World War II. [S 73]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That section one, as amended, of chapter three hundred seventy-
hve of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred thirty, approved March
twenty-fourth, nineteen hundred thirty, be amended and re-enacted, as
follows:
Section 1. All sums appropriated by law for the purpose of carry-
ing into effect the provisions of this act shall be used for the sole purpose
of providing for matriculation fees, board and room rent and books and
supplies for the use and benefit of the children not under sixteen and not
over twenty-one years of age of those who entered the service of the
United States from Virginia and were killed in action or died from other
causes in World War I between April sixth, nineteen hundred seventeen
and July second, nineteen hundred twenty-one, or in World War II be-
tween December seventh, nineteen hundred forty-one and the date fixed
by the United States Government as the date of termination of such war,
while serving in the armed services of the United States, and of those
who were, or are, or may hereafter become totally and permanently dis-
abled due to service during such periods, whether the veteran be now liv-
ing or dead; which children are attending or may attend a State educa-
tional or training institution of secondary or college grade. Such chil-
dren, upon recommendation of the State Board of Education, shall be
admitted to State institutions of secondary or college grade, free of tuition,
