Chap. 379.—To authorize the sale, lease or rental of the timber or mineral rights
of certain property owned by the State Teachers College at Radford. [H 399]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The governing body of the State Teachers College at Radford
or the governing body of any institution formed by the consolidation of
the State Teachers College at Radford and any other institution of learn-
ing, is authorized to sell, lease or rent by proper instrument upon such
terms and conditions as it deems to be to the best interest of the institu-
tion the timber, minerals and ores, or the rights thereto, appurtenant and
pertaining to a certain tract of land devised to the State Teachers Col-
lege at Radford by will, being the same tract of land formerly known
as the Radford Iron Company property and located in Hiwassie Magis-
terial District of Pulaski County.
The moneys derived from the sale, leasing or renting of such timber,
minerals, or ores, or the rights thereto, shall be paid into the treasury
of the State Teachers College at Radford, or the successor institution.
2. An emergency existing this act shall be in force from its passage.
