Chap. 363.—An ACT to authorize and empower the Governor to execute in the
name of the Commonwealth of Virginia a deed conveying, subject to the juris-
dictional and other limitations and reservations contained in Section 19-a and
Section 19-b of the Code of Virginia, to the United States of America, six
parcels of vacant and unappropriated land containing a total of two hundred
and thirteen and eight-tenths acres situate in Bedford and Botetourt Counties.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia :
1. That the Governor of Virginia be, and he is hereby, authorized
and empowered to execute in the name of the Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia, a deed conveying, subject to the jurisdictional and other limita-
tions and reservations contained in Section nineteen-a and Section nine-
teen-b of the Code of Virginia, as amended by chapter three hundred
eighty-two of the Acts of Assembly of nineteen hundred thirty-six, to
the United States of America, such title as the Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia may have in and to the six parcels of supposedly waste and un-
appropriated land containing a total of two hundred and thirteen and
eight-tenths acres lying and being situate in Bedford and Botetourt
Counties, Virginia, of which eight and six-tenths acres are located in
Bedford County, Virginia, and two hundred and five and two-tenths
acres are located in Botetourt County, Virginia, shown on a map on file
in the office of the Department of Highways and in the office of the
Secretary of the Commonwealth at Richmond, Virginia, entitled **Map
of Vacant Land Parcels numbers one, two, three, four, five, and six,
Botetourt and Bedford Counties, containing two hundred and thirteen
and eight-tenths acres surveyed by Virginia Highway Commission and
United States Forest Service, nineteen hundred and forty-one scale one
inch equal one-quarter mile March eighteen, nineteen hundred and forty-
two’, to which is attached a metes and bounds description of each of said
six parcels, said lands being along or adjacent to the Blue Ridge Parkway
and are to be conveyed to the United States of America to be used as a
part of the Jefferson National Forest.
