Chap. 348.—An ACT to provide for the trapping and shooting of foxes in certain
named county or counties and for penalties for violation of certain provisions
thereof; and to repeal Chapter 202, Acts 1920, approved March 16, 1920, and
all acts amendatory thereof. [H 397]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to trap foxes in
the County of Albemarle except during the month of November, and
in the County of Nelson except during the months of November, Decem-
ber and up to and including January twenty, in each year.
Section 2. All persons who trap for foxes during the open season
for trapping shall visit their traps at least once every day, and release any
dog, or other domestic animal or fowl found in any trap, and shall be
liable for all damages done by their traps to anv dog or other domestic
animal or fowl.
Section 3. It shall be lawful to shoot foxes in the County of Nelson
during the period of the general open hunting season for upland game.
Section 4. Any person -violating any provision of this act shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not less than
ten nor more than fifty dollars for each offense.
2. Chapter two hundred two, Acts nineteen hundred twenty, ap-
proved March sixteen, nineteen hundred twenty, relating to trapping ot
foxes in certain named counties, and all acts amendatory thereto, are
repealed.
