Chap. 265.—An ACT to authorize the State Board of Education to convey a cer-
tain tract of real estate to the city of Fredericksburg. [S 213}
Approved March 17, 1944
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. The State Board of Education 1s hereby authorized to convey
by deed with special warranty, unto the City of Fredericksburg, for the
purpose of widening Sunken Road in the City, which adjoins the land
of Mary Washington College, the following described real estate:
“That certain small tract of land in the City of Fredericksburg, Vir-
ginia, described as follows, to-wit:
“Beginning at a point formed by the intersection of the old south-
west boundary of Sunken Road with the boundary line between the
properties of Sue L. Boulware and the Mary Washington College, thence
northwestwardly by and with the old southwest boundary of Sunken
Road a distance of one hundred and ninety-five feet ; thence southwest-
ward, perpendicular, to said southwest boundary of Sunken Road, a dis-
tance of sixteen feet to the new southwest boundary of Sunken Road;
thence southeastward by and with the new southwest boundary of Sun-
ken Road a distance of one hundred and ninety-three feet, to the afore-
mentioned boundary line between Sue L. Boulware and Mary Washing-
ton College; thence northeastward, by and with the said boundary line
a distance of twenty-seven feet, to the beginning, containing 0.095 of
an acre, more or less, as per plat of L. J. Houston, City Manager, dated
December nineteen, nineteen hundred fosty-two.”
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
