Chap. 196.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3 of Chapter 355 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1942, prescribing, for the State Corporation Com-
mission and the State Highway Commission, certain powers and duties relating
to aviation and aviation facilities. [S 188]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That section three of chapter three hundred fifty-five of the Acts
of Assembly of nineteen hundred forty-two, approved April one, nine-
teen hundred forty-two, be amended and re-enacted, as follows:

Section 3. The State Highway Department 1s authorized to build
roads to airports and landing felds open to public use, and may pay out
of highway funds the cost of such roads. Such department may, in co-
operation with the Division of Aeronautics of the State Corporation
Commission and either on an actual cost or contract basis, construct.
maintain and improve airports, landing fields, and other aviation facilities
licensed for public use, the actual cost thereof to the State Highway De-
partment to be paid by the Division of Aeronautics.
