Chap. 16.—An ACT to transfer jurisdiction and control of a part of the land here-
tofore devoted to the use of the Virginia State School for Colored Deaf and
Blind Children to the State Highway Commission to be used as a part of State
Highway Route No. 610, Elizabeth City County. [S14

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia: —
1, That the jurisdiction and control over a certain parcel of land in
Elizabeth City County, Virginia, owned by the Commonwealth of Vir-
ginia and devoted to the use of the Virginia State School for Colored Deaf
and Blind Children be and the same is hereby transferred to the State
Highway Commission to be used as a part of State Highway Route num-
ber six hundred and ten, said parcel of land being particularly described
as follows:
Beginning at a point in the present center of route six hundred and
ten, Briarfield Road, said point being twelve feet northerly from and
opposite P. O. C. Sta. ninety/ninety-nine of Office Revision Centerline
of route six hundred and ten, Project fourteen hundred and twenty-
one-L, as shown on plans for the said route and project on file in the office
of the Department of Highways, at Richmond, Virginia; thence with the
eastern line of the lands of Thurlington north two degrees thirty minutes
west, thirteen feet to a point; thence with a five hundred forty-five and
eighty-seven one-hundredths feet radius curve to the right one hundred
and twelve and seventy-two one-hundredths feet, more or less, to a point
twenty-five feet northerly from and opposite said centerline at Sta. P. T.
ninety-two/eleven and seventy-two one-hundredths ; thence south eighty-
seven degrees thirty minutes twenty-seven seconds east, seven hundred
and seven and twenty-eight one-hundredths feet to’a point in the western
lme of Thornton opposite Sta. ninety-nine/nineteen of said centerline;
thence with last line south two degrees thirty minutes west, twenty-five
feet to Sta. ninety-nine/nineteen of said centerline; thence with the said
centerline reversed north eighty-seven degrees thirty minutes twenty-
seven seconds west, seven hundred and seven and twenty-eight one-
hundredths feet to Sta. P. T. ninety-two/eleven and seventy-two one-
hundredths; thence north eighty-seven degrees thirty minutes twenty-
seven seconds west, approximate center of present route six hundred and
ten, one hundred and twelve and seventy-two one-hundredths feet to
the point of beginning, and containing forty-six one-hundredths acre,
more or less, of which twenty-seven one-hundredths acre is included in
the present right of way, and nineteen one-hundredths acre, more or less,
additional land, being shown on sheet five of the above mentioned plans.
