Chap. 119.—An ACT to transfer the jurisdiction and control of a certain parcel
of land in Marion, Virginia, from the State Hospital Board to the State High-
way Commission and to authorize the State Highway Commission to use said
land for a residency headquarters lot or other highway purposes and to provide
that the jurisdiction and control of said land shall revert to the State Hos-
pital Board when the land is no longer needed for highway purposes. [S 116]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the jurisdiction and control of that certain parcel of land
in the Town of Marion, Virginia, hereinafter particularly described, be
and the same is hereby transferred from the State Hospital Board to the
State Highway Commission, which is hereby authorized to use said
parcel of land for a residency headquarters lot or for other highway pur-
poses. When said land is no longer needed for highway purposes the
State Highway Commission shall pass a resolution so stating and there-
upon the jurisdiction and control over the said land and shall revert to the
State Hospital Board. The land hereby transferred to the State High-
way Commission is described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the westerly right of way line of State High-
way Route sixteen, in the Town of Marion, said point being radially
twenty-five feet distant south-westerly from the survey and plan center-
line of said highway as shown on plans for State Highway Route six-
teen, Project seven hundred fifty-seven M-one, on file in the office of
the Department of Highways at Richmond, Virginia, at or near Station
P. O. C. twenty-three/fifty-two and four-tenths; thence with the said
right of way line, and twenty-five feet distant from the said centerline,
six hundred ninety-seven and four-tenths feet, more or less, to a point
southwesterly and at right angles to the said centerline at or near Station
thirty/fifty ; thence southwesterly with a line at right angles to the said
centerline and right of way line, two hundred six feet, more or less, to a
point in the easterly right of way line of the former location of old State
Highway Route eighty-eight, present State Highway Route six hundred
sixty-nine; thence with the last right of way line, and fifteen feet distant
northeasterly from the center of said State Highway Route six hundred
sixty-nine, in a general northerly direction, seven hundred twenty feet,
more or less, to a point; thence north fifty-five degrees thirty-five minutes
east, sixty-five feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; said land
containing one and ninety-six one-hundredths acres, more or less, and
being that shown as embraced in red lines on the blue print number one
hundred fifty in the plat book on file in the office of the ¢ Department of
Highways in Richmond, Virginia.
