Chap. 10.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 127 of the Code of Virginia,
as amended, relating to election and term of office of certain district officers, to
omit provisions as to constables; and to declare the existence of an emergency.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
one hundred and twenty-seven of the Code of Virginia, as amended, be
amended and re-enacted, as follows:
Section 127. When district officers to be elected; term of office.—
In each magisterial district there shall be chosen by the qualified voters
thereof at the general election to be held on the Tuesday after the first
Monday in November, in the year nineteen hundred and nineteen, and
every four years thereafter, one supervisor and three justices of the
peace, who shall hold their offices for the term of four years.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
