Chap. 93.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding a new section
numbered 4440-a, prescribing the punishment for the larceny of certain rubber
tires or tubes. [fH B 64]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding a new section numbered forty-
four hundred and forty-a, as follows:
Section 4440-a. Larceny of certain rubber tires or tubes—If any
person shall be guilty of the larceny of any rubber tire or tube used or
designed for use on a motor vehicle, trailer, semi-trailer, tractor, farm
tractor, road-tractor, tractor-truck or vehicle, as such terms are defined
by the Motor Vehicle Code of Virginia, or, who shall be guilty of the
larceny of any rubber tire or tube used or designed for use on any agri-
cultural machinery or implements, he shall be punished by confinement in
the penitentiary for not less than one year nor more than ten years, or by
confinement in jail for not exceeding twelve months and by a fine not
exceeding five hundred dollars, in the discretion of the jury, or of the
court trying the case without a jury.
2. An emergency exists and this act is in force from its passage.
