Chap. 81.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1616 of the Code of Virginia, as
heretofore amended, relating to the compensation and expenses of the State
Board of Medical Examiners. [S B 110]

I. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
sixteen hundred and sixteen of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore
amended, be amended and re-enacted, as follows:
Section 1616. Disposition of Funds; Compensation and Expenses
of Board; How Paid.—The funds realized from all fees collected by
the board shall be accounted for and shall be paid into the State treasury.
Each member of the board, except the secretary, shall receive ten dollars
for’ each day actually employed in the discharge of his official duties,
together with all necessary expenses incurred. The secretary of the
board shall receive, in addition to necessary expenses, an annual salary,
to be fixed by the board, not exceeding fifteen hundred dollars. The
compensation and expenses of the members, and the necessary expenses
of the board. shall be paid out of the State treasury, on a requisition
signed by the president and secretary of the Board, and upon the war-
rant of the comptroller.
