Chap. 56.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Chapter 253 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of 1932, approved March 24, 1932, authorizing certain appropriations
for grading and beautifying public school grounds, so as to remove the limit
placed upon the amount appropriated for such purpose. [S B 80]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That chapter
two hundred and fifty-three of the Acts of the General Assembly of nine-
teen hundred and thirty-two, approved March twenty-fourth, nineteen
hundred and thirty-two, be amended and re-enacted, as follows:
Whenever any public school building is hereafter constructed in this
State, the board of supervisors of the county, or the council of the city,
or council of the town if such town constitutes a separate school district,
in which such public school building is so constructed, may appropriate
a sum in such an amount as necessary, as a part of the construction cost
of such public school building, which shall be used by the school board of
such county, city, or town, for grading and beautifying the grounds upon
which such school building is located.
