Chap. 51.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 670, as heretofore
amended, of the Code of Virginia, relating to establishment of joint
schools for counties or for counties and cities. [H B 111]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
section six hundred and seventy of the Code of Virginia, as here-
tofore amended, be amended and re-enacted, as follows:
Section 670. Establishment of joint schools for counties or
for counties and cities—vThe school boards of counties or of coun-
ties and cities, shall with the consent of the State Board of Educa-
tion, have the power to establish joint schools for the use of the
counties or of such counties and cities, and shall have power to
purchase, take, hold, lease and convey school property, both real
and personal, for such joint schools. The title to all such property
acquired for such purposes shall vest jointly in the school boards
of the counties, or counties and cities, and such schools shall be
managed and controlled by the said boards jointly.
