Chap. 454.—An ACT to validate deeds for real estate purchased under the pro-
visions of Section 2495 of the Code of Virginia. | [H B 508]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all
deeds heretofore made to purchasers of real estate purchased under the
provisions of sections twenty-four hundred and ninety-five of the Code
of Virginia, where such deeds were made pursuant to such notice and the
return date thereof was not less than four months from the date of the
last insertion thereof if the notice was published and posted under the
provisions of the fourth subsection of said section, where the person
having the right to redeem such real estate was proceeded against by
such publication, or where the person having the right to redeem was

served with a copy of the applicant’s application to purchase, after the
expiration of four months from the date of such service, are hereby
declared to be valid and to vest in the grantees therein, respectively, the
same character of title to such real estate, and subject to the same pro-
visions as are set forth in section twenty-four hundred and eighty-eight
of the Code of Virginia, provided all the other applicable provisions of
said section twenty-four hundred and ninety-five shall have been com-
plied with. }
