Chap. 34.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section,
numbered 3874-a requiring the State Corporation Commission to notify the
Commissioner of Public Welfare of the presentation of certificates of incorpora-
tion by certain non-stock corporations. [H B 29]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section, numbered
thirty-eight hundred and seventy-four-a, as follows:
Section 3874-a. Certain notifications to the Commissioner of Public
Welfare-—Whenever a charter is issued by the State Corporation Com-
mission, pursuant to the provisions of section thirty-eight hundred and
seventy-four, for the incorporation of a corporation for the purpose of
engaging in any charitable enterprise or activity for the care, maintenance,
assistance or relief of delinquent, dependent or neglected children, or of
the needy aged, or of any other class or classes of helpless or otherwise
needy persons, or in any other charitable social service enterprise or
activity, the State Corporation Commission shall forthwith give written
notification thereof to the Commissioner of Public Welfare, merely for
the purpose of the information of the Commissioner.
