Chap. 326.—An ACT to permit the use and leasing of school buildings and grounds
in Scott County for fairs, carnivals and similar exhibitions; to prescribe the
terms upon which buildings and grounds may be so used and leased; to provide
for the disposition of rents received therefrom; and to repeal Chapter 361, Acts
of 1936. [H B 107]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, as follows:
Section 1. It shall be lawful for the county school board of Scott
county to permit any school building or school ground in said county to be
used for the purpose of conducting a fair, carnival or other similar ex-
hibition therein or thereon.
The said county school board shall have the authority to rent or lease
any such building or ground for the purpose of conducting any such
event, if such fair, carnival or similar exhibition is held for a period o!
more than one day, the said board shall require the person, association ot
company conducting such fair, carnival or similar exhibition to pay as @
rental for such building or ground, not less than two per centum no:
more than ten per centum, in the discretion of the said board, of the gros:
receipts of such person, association or company ; provided that the mint.

Section 2. All the money derived from the leasing or renting of an
such school building or ground for such purposes, shall be paid into th
county treasury and applied by the treasurer on the school board indebt
edness of the district wherein the school building or school ground sc

2. Be it further enacted, That chapter three hundred and sixty
one of the Acts of the General Assembly of nineteen hundred and thirty.
