Chap. 106.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 4743 of the Code of Virginia
as heretofore amended, in relation to the disposal of certain maimed, diseased
disabled and infirm animals, and the bodies of dead animals. [H B 61

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That sectiot
forty-seven hundred and forty-three of the Code of Virginia, as heretofor
amended, be amended and re-enacted as follows:
Section 4743. If any person cast any dead animal into a road, o
having in custody any maimed, diseased, disabled or infirm animal, leave
it to lie or be in a street, road or public place, he shall be fined not exceed
ing twenty dollars; and if any person engaged in the regular business c
using or disposing of or rendering dead animals shall transport any dea
animal, other than those killed for human consumption, along a publi
road or street without the same being fully covered with a heavy canva
or other material of like nature, or (2) when from such dead animal o-
the vehicle in or upon which it is being transported an offensive odo:
emanates, he shall be fined not less than five dollars nor more than on
hundred dollars.
