Chap. 93.—An ACT to regulate the shooting and catching of fish in Scott County,
to prohibit, under certain circumstances and conditions, the shooting of fish
and fishing with live bait and artificial flies or plugs, and to provide penalties
for violations of the act. [H B 28}

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:
Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to shoot any kind
of fish while on shoals in any stream in Scott County.
Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to fish with any
kind of live bait, artificial flies or plugs, in any stream in Scott
County, except during such times as the Commission of Game and
Inland Fisheries of Virginia shall designate as open season for trout
and bass in said county.
Section 3. Any person violating any provision of either of the
foregoing sections shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon
conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than five
dollars nor more than one hundred dollars. |
Section 4. Any person fishing otherwise than with any kind of
live bait, artificial flies, or plugs, shall be exempt from any bag limit
on any kind of fish except trout and bass.
