Chap. 84.—An ACT to authorize and empower the Virginia Conservation Commis-
sion to convey to the former grantors thereof, their heirs, devisees, assigns or
successors in title, certain lands in Smyth county acquired by the said Com-
mission as a right of way for a road from Lee Highway to Hungry Mother State
Park, and no longer needed for such purpose. | [IH B 88]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Virginia Conservation Commission be, and it is hereby, authorized
and empowered, on behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, to grant
and convey to the former owners thereof, their heirs, devisees, assigns
or successors in title, upon such terms and conditions and with or
without consideration as it shall deem best, by proper deed or deeds
executed and acknowledged by the Chairman of the said Commission
or such other person or persons as may be designated by the Com-
mission for the purpose, all of the right, title and interest of the
Virginia Conservation Commission and of the.-Commonwealth of
Virginia in and to all or any portions of certain lots or parcels of
land in Smythe County acquired by the said Commission from such
former owners for use as a right of way for a road or boulevard leading
from Lee Highway to Hungry Mother State Park which are not
included in a right of way varying from one hundred to one hundred
fifty feet in width and about two and one-half miles in length to be
retained by the Commonwealth and used by the Department of
Highways for a road or highway in the secondary system of State
highways leading from the said Lee Highway to Hungry Mother
State Park. |
