Chap. 70.—An ACT to authorize and empower the Governor to execute in the name
of the Commonwealth a deed conveying, subject to the jurisdictional limita-
tions and reservations contained in Section 19-a of the Code of Virginia, to the
United States of America two parcels of vacant and unappropriated land con-
taining twenty-three and six-tenths acres and thirty-seven and six-tenths acres,
respectively, situate in Rocky Knob Area in Patrick County. (H B 131]

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Governor of Virginia be, and he is hereby, authorized and empow-
ered to execute in the name of the Commonwealth of Virginia a deed
conveying, subject to the jurisdictional limitations and reservations
contained in Section 19-a of the Code of Virginia, as amended by
Chapter 382 of the Acts of Assembly of 1936, to the United States
of America the two following described parcels of waste and un-
appropriated land:
1. All that parcel of land containing twenty-three and _ six-
tenths acres as shown on blueprints furnished by the Department of
the Interior, National Park Service, on file in the office of the De-
partment of Highways and in the office of the Secretary of the Com-
monwealth at Richmond, Virginia, entitled, “‘Blue Ridge Parkway,
L. P. Va. 8, Patrick County, Rocky Knob Area, Vacant Land, Sur-
veyed March 1936 by J. S. Harris, Surveyor, Scale 1’ =500’.’’
2. All that parcel of land containing thirty-seven and six-tenths
acres as shown on blueprints furnished by the Department of the
Interior, National Park Service, on file in the office of the Depart-
ment of Highways and in the office of the Secretary of the Common-
wealth at Richmond, Virginia, entitled, ‘Blue Ridge Parkway L. P.
Va. 8, Patrick County, Rocky Knob Area, Vacant Land, Surveyed
April 1936, by A. L. McGrady, Surveyor, Scale 1’ =500’.”’
3. The said lands above described adjoin the Blue Ridge Park-
way, formerly known as the Shenandoah-Great Smoky Mountains
National Parkway, and are to be used for the same purposes as said
parkway lands.
