Chap. 48.—An ACT validating, ratifying, approving and confirming proceedings
heretofore taken, and elections heretofore held, to provide for and relative to
the authorization, issuance, sale, execution and delivery of bonds by or on
behalf of sanitary districts. (H B 94]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
all proceedings taken, and elections held, prior to the first day of
January, nineteen hundred and forty, in any sanitary district of this
State to provide for and relative to the authorization, issuance, sale,
execution and delivery of bonds by or on behalf of any such sanitary
district, be, and the same are hereby validated, ratified, approved
and confirmed notwithstanding any lack of power, other than con-
stitutional, of the board of supervisors of the county, in which such
sanitary district is located, to authorize and issue such bonds, or to
sell, execute or deliver the same, and notwithstanding any defects
or irregularities, other than constitutional, in the taking of said pro-
ceedings or in the calling or holding of said elections, or in the peti-
tions presented praying for the holding of such elections or said
proceedings, or in any orders ordering or confirming the same.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
