1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
concrete bridge across the Norfolk and Western Railroad about one
mile east of the town of Abingdon in Washington county, on the State
highway designated United States Highway Number Eleven, be, and
the same is hereby, named and designated as the “General John H.
Morgan Memorial Bridge’, such bridge to be a memorial to General
Morgan whose funeral was conducted from ‘‘Acklin’’ the home of
General John A. Campbell, located near the eastern entrance to the
bridge.
