Chap. 360.—An ACT to amend the Code of Virginia by adding thereto a new section
to be numbered Section 3083-a, relating to bond issue elections in any town sit-
uated partly in two or more counties, and providing for the ordering, holding
and certifying of such elections. [H B 413]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section to be
numbered Section thirty hundred and eighty-three-a, and to read as
ollows:
Section 3083-a. Where any such town is situated partly in two
or more counties, the certified copy of the ordinance provided for in
section thirty hundred and eighty-two, may be presented to the cir-
cuit court of either of said counties, or to the judge thereof in vacation,
and said court, or judge, shall order an election to be held in such
town, in accordance with the provisions of section thirty hundred and
eighty-three, by the proper election officers of the town, appointed as
provided by section twenty-nine hundred and ninety-five. The
electoral board of the county in which the greater part of the area of
such town is situated, shall have the ballots for use at said election,
printed in accordance with the provisions of section thirty hundred
and eighty-five. The returns of such election shall be delivered to
the clerk of the court which, or the judge of which, entered the order
for the holding of said election, and shall be canvassed and certified
in accordance with the provisions of section thirty hundred and
eighty-seven.
