Chap. 358.—An ACT to validate certain conveyances of real estate situated in the
City of Richmond, Virginia, made by the Reverend A. J. Brennan, Bishop of
the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, and by the Reverend
Peter L. Ireton, Bishop Coadjutor of said Diocese, to Sarkis Berberian and
Yevnigue S. Berberian, his wife, and to the City of Richmond, Virginia, a
municipal corporation, and to Elsie F. Greentree, and to Mildred Brown Mayo,

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:
That the following conveyances made by the Reverend A. J.
Brennan, Bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Richmond, Vir-
ginia, and by the Reverend Peter L. Ireton, Bishop Coadjutor of said
Diocese, of certain parcels of real estate situated in the City of Rich-
mond, Virginia, to Sarkis Berberian and Yevnigue S. Berberian, his
wife, to be held and owned as set forth in the deed to them, dated the
sixteenth day of May, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and re-
corded in the clerk’s office of the Chancery Court of the City of
Richmond, Virginia, in Deed Book four hundred and twelve-A, at
page one hundred and ninety-nine et sequentia, and to the City of
Richmond, Virginia, a municipal corporation, by deed dated the
twenty-fifth day of July, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, and
recorded in the aforesaid clerk’s office in Deed Book four hundred
and fourteen-A, at page six et sequentia, and to Elsie F. Greentree by
deed dated the twentieth day of August, nineteen hundred and
thirty-eight, and recorded in the aforesaid clerk’s office in Deed Book
four hundred and thirteen-D, at page one hundred and sixty-seven et
sequentia, and to Mildred Brown Mayo by deed dated the twenty-
eighth day of December, nineteen hundred and thirty-nine, and
recorded in the aforesaid clerk’s office in Deed Book four hundred
and nineteen-D, at page eighty et sequentia, be, and the same hereby
are, validated to the same extent as if said properties had been held
by trustees pursuant to the provisions of chapter seven of the Code
of Virginia and such deeds had been made pursuant to orders of a
court of competent jurisdiction in suits instituted and conducted in
accordance with the provisions of section forty-five of the Code of
Virginia; and the titles to said respective properties are hereby vested
in said grantees, respectively, and their respective successors in
title to the same extent that said deeds purport to convey.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
