Chap. 340.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled ‘“‘An act giving au-
thority to make arrests to any officer in charge of men and equipment of the
fire fighting companies in Arlington and Fairfax counties,” approved April 18,
1927, so as to include the county of Prince William and all incorporated towns
in the said three counties within the terms of the said act. [S B 260]

1. Beit enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That an
act entitled “An act giving authority to make arrests to any officer
in charge of men and equipment of the fire fighting companies in
Arlington and Fairfax counties,” approved April eighteenth, nineteen
hundred and twenty-seven, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
Section 1. In Arlington, Fairfax and Prince William counties,
including the incorporated towns therein, the captain, chief, or other
officer of any volunteer fire company in charge of the men and equip-
ment of such company at any fire, shall, while at the scene of the fire or
going to or returning therefrom, have the authority of a sheriff to
make arrests for violations of law or local ordinances.
