Chap. 132.—An ACT to authorize the State Board of Education, in consideration
of the closing of certain streets in the town of Farmville, to convey to the said
town of Farmville for the purpose of opening a new street a certain tract or
parcel of land in said town now a part of the property used by the State Teachers
College at Farmville. [S B 116]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That
the State Board of Education be, and it is hereby, authorized and
empowered to transfer and convey, by proper deed or deeds signed
and executed by such person or persons as shall be authorized by
the said board, and in the name of the Commonwealth of Virginia-
State Teachers College in Farmville, Virginia, to the town of Farm-
ville for use as a public street or highways, a certain tract or parcel
of land situated in the town of Farmville, County of Prince Edward,
and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the western line of Venable Street, which
point is one hundred sixty-three and one-tenth feet southwardly from
the south west corner of Venable and Doyne Streets, thence south
eighty-four degrees thirty minutes fifteen seconds west three hundred
ten and three-tenths feet to a point thence south five degrees twenty-
nine minutes forty-five seconds east sixty feet to a corner with Edna
Davidson, thence north eighty-four degrees thirty minutes fifteen
seconds east three hundred ten and three-tenths feet to the west
line of Venable Street, thence north five degrees seventeen minutes
forty-five seconds west along the west line of Venable Street sixty
feet to the point of beginning.
The transfer and conveyance herein authorized shall be made in
consideration of the closing of such streets or parts of streets in the
town of Farmville, adjacent to the property of the State Teachers
College at Farmville, as may be satisfactory to the State Board of
Education.
2. Am emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
