Chap. 54.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 1, and Section 8 as heretofore
amended, of an act entitled “An act to establish a corporation court for the
city of Radford, in Montgomery county”, approved January 29, 1892.

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
one and section eight, as heretofore amended, of an act entitled an act
to establish a corporation court for the city of Radford in Montgomery
county, approved January twenty-ninth, eighteen hundred and ninety-
‘two, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 1. The corporation court heretofore established for the
city of Radford in Montgomery county, is continued; it shall be
held by the judge of the said court. The terms of said court shall
begin on the second Monday in each month and shall each continue
for not in excess of thirty days; but the judge of said court may, from
time to time change the day on which said terms shall commence, and
may, in his discretion omit the holding of the term for the month of
July or August in each year, as he may deem best.
Section 8. The judge of the said corporation court shall receive
such annual salary as shall be fixed by the council of the city of Rad-
ford, which salary shall not be less than eight hundred dollars nor
more than forty-five hundred dollars, to be paid as provided by law.
The said judge shall qualify by taking the oath required by law within
thirty days after he receives his commission before a notary public
or any clerk of court of record.
An emergency existing this act shall be in effect from its passage.
