Chap. 355.—An ACT to provide, under certain conditions, for leaves of ab-
sence for State officers and employees, who are commissioned or enlisted
members of the organized Reserve Corps of the United States Army, or
members of the Naval Reserve, or the Marine Reserve, while on active duty,
without loss of position, pay, time, or efficiency rating, or regular vacation
periods. [H B 383]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That all
officers and employees of the State who shall be commissioned or en-
listed members of the organized Reserve Corps of the United States
Army or of the Naval Reserve or the Marine Reserve, shall be en-
titled to leaves of absence from their respective duties without loss of
pay, time or efficiency rating on all days during which they shall be
ordered to active duty by the President of the United States, for
periods not to exceed fifteen days in any one calendar year; and when
relieved from such duty, they shall be restored to positions held by
them when ordered to duty. Such officials and employees shall be
entitled to their regular vacation periods with pay in addition to the
military leaves provided for herein.
