Chap. 268.—An ACT to validate certain conveyances of real estate in Fairfax
county, Virginia, made by the Reverend Dennis J. O’Connell, Roman Cath-
olic Bishop of the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia. [fH B 500]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia as follows:
Section 1. That all conveyances of real estate made in the county
of Fairfax, Virginia, by the Reverend Dennis J. O’Connell, Roman
Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Richmond, Virginia, of real estate
conveyed to him as Roman Catholic Bishop of Richmond, Virginia,
and his successor or successors in office, by the congregation of the
Sisters of the Perpetual Adoration of New Orleans, a Louisiana cor-
poration, by deed of July third, nineteen hundred and twenty-three
and recorded in the clerk’s office of Fairfax county in deed book
numbered eight, page two hundred and eighty-six, et sequentia, and
especially the lots conveyed from said property by the said Reverend
Dennis J. O’Connell, to Daniel J. Brown, by deed of December third,
nineteen hundred and twenty-four, recorded in said clerk’s office in
deed book L, numbered nine, at page sixty-two, et sequentia, be, and
the same are hereby, validated to the same extent as if such property
had been held by trustees pursuant to the provisions of chapter seven
of the Code of Virginia and such deeds had been made pursuant to
an order of a court of competent jurisdiction in a suit instituted and
conducted in accordance with the provisions of section forty-five of
the Code of Virginia, and such title is hereby vested in any such
purchaser or purchasers and their successors in title to the same extent
that any such deeds purport to convey.
