Chap. 253.—-An ACT to amend Chapter 94 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1934, approved March 7, 1934, and known, designated and cited as th
Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, by adding thereto a new section numbere:
42-a, so as, among other things, to provide that no person under the ag
of twenty-one years shall sell, serve, or dispense certain alcoholic beverage
for on-premises consumption; and providing punishment for the violatio1

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That chap
ter ninety-four of the Acts of the General Assembly of nineteen hun
dred and thirty-four, approved March seventh, nineteen hundred an
thirty-four, and known, designated and cited as the Alcoholic Beverag
Control Act, be amended by adding thereto a new section numbere
section forty-two-a, which new section shall read as follows:
Section 42-a. Persons by whom alcoholic beverages may not b
sold, served, or dispensed for on-premises consumption; violation, how
punished.—(a) It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or cor-
poration to permit any person employed by such person, firm, or cor-
poration under the age of twenty-one years to sell, serve, or dispense
in any manner alcoholic beverages for on-premises consumption,
except pursuant to the provisions of sections thirty-two, thirty-three or
thirty-four of this act.
(b) Any person, firm, or corporation found guilty of a violation
of the provisions of this section shall be punished as is provided for
in section sixty-two of this act.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its
passage.
