Chap. 223.—An ACT to amend and re-enact Section 3463 of the Code of Vir-
ginia, as heretofore amended, relating to compensation of the justices of
the Supreme Court of Appeals. [S B 29]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That sec-
tion thirty-four hundred and sixty-three of the Code of Virginia, as
heretofore amended, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as fol-
lows:

Section 3463. Justices of Supreme Court of Appeals——The Chief
Justice of the Supreme Court of Appeals shall receive an annual
salary of eight thousand nine hundred dollars; each other justice of
the Supreme Court of Appeals shall receive an annual salary of eight
thousand five hundred dollars. The said salaries shall be paid out of
the State treasury in either monthly or semi-monthly installments.

2. This act shall be in force on and after July first, nineteen hun-
dred and thirty-eight.
