Chap. 185.——An ACT to amend Chapter 94 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of 1934, approved March 7, 1934, and known, designated and cited as the
Alcoholic Beverage Control Act, by adding thereto a new section, numbered
58-a, so as, among other things, to provide for the importation of alcoholic
beverages into United States customs bonded warehouses in Virginia; the
release of such alcoholic beverages in Virginia for delivery in Virginia or
shipment outside of Virginia; and empowering the board to make regulations
governing the provisions of this section. [H B 286]

I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That chap-
ter ninety-four of the acts of the General Assembly of nineteen hun-
dred and thirty-four, approved March seventh, nineteen hundred and
thirty-four, known, designated and cited as the Alcoholic Beverage Con-
trol Act, be amended by adding thereto a new section, numbered section
fifty-eight-a, which new section shall read as follows:
Section 58-a. Importation of alcoholic beverages into United States
customs bonded warehouses in Virginia; release of such alcoholic bev-
erages in Virginia for delivery in Virginia or shipment outside of Vir-
ginia; regulations of board regarding same.—(a) Alcoholic beverages
may be imported into Virginia under United States customs bonds, and
be held in Virginia in United States customs bonded warehouses; and
alcoholic beverages may be removed from any United States customs
bonded warehouse, wherever situated, to a United States customs bonded
warehouse located in Virginia, and be held in Virginia.
(b) Such alcoholic beverages so imported or removed to United
States customs bonded warehouses in Virginia, shall be released from
customs bond in Virginia only on permits issued by the board for de-
livery to the board, or other persons entitled to receive the same in
Virginia, or to ships of foreign registry, or for shipment outside of the
State of Virginia. | ,
(c) . The board.shall have. the power to make such regulations .as
it deems expedient or necessary for the purpose of carrying out. the
provisions of this section, and to insure that such alcoholic iia a
shall be handled only in a manner provided by law, .
