Chap. 151.—An ACT to authorize the State Commission on Conservation and
Development, with the approval of the Governor, to sell and convey all
right, title and interest of the said commission and of the Commonwealth of
Virginia in and to two small tracts of land in Henry county. [H B 289]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State Commission on Conservation and Development be, and it is
hereby authorized and empowered, on behalf of the Commonwealth
of Virginia, and with the approval of the Governor, to sell upon such
terms and conditions as to it shall seem best and to convey by proper
deed or deeds, executed and acknowledged by the chairman of the
said commission or such other person or persons as may be designated
by the commission for the purpose, all of the right, title and interest
ot the State Commission on Conservation and Development and of the
Commonwealth of Virginia, in and to two small lots or parcels of
land lying and being in Henry county, Virginia, adjoining the right
of way of the Norfolk and Western railway, the one containing ap-
proximately three-hundredths of an acre and being the same land
which was conveyed to the Virginia Ore and Lumber Corporation by
deed from S. E. Ward, dated September twenty-sixth, nineteen hun-
dred and five, and recorded in the clerk’s office in Henry county,
Virginia, in deed book thirty-three, page three hundred and four,
and the other containing approximately six hundred and fourteen
thousandths of an acre, and being the same land which was conveyed
to the said The Virginia Ore and Lumber Company, Incorporated, by
deed from A. B. Philpott and wife, dated October eighth, nineteen
hundred and six, and recorded in the said clerk’s office in deed book
thirty-three, page four hundred and ninety-six, and the said two lots
of land being a part of the real estate which was conveyed to the
State Commission on Conservation and Development by deed from
Junius B. Fishburn and wife, dated September twentieth, nineteen
hundred and thirty-three, and recorded in the clerk’s office of Patrick
county, Virginia, in deed book sixty-two, page four hundred and
seventy, to all of which deeds special reference is made for a more
particular description of the said land.
