Chap. 147.—-An ACT to authorize and empower the State Board of Education
in making sale of certain property in Petersburg, Virginia, as heretofore
authorized, to release, cancel and return to the makers thereof certain prin-
cipal and interest notes formerly secured by deed of trust on the _ Pet

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
State Board of Education be, and it is hereby authorized and em-
powered, in making sale of the property in Petersburg, Virginia, known
as the Trinity Methodist Church, South, and parsonage, as authorized
by chapter three hundred and thirty-two of the Acts of Assembly of
nineteen hundred and thirty-six, to make such sale and transfer at
such price and upon such terms and conditions as to it may seem best
and as may be approved:by the Governor, In the event such sale and
transfer shall be.to the present trustees.of Trinity Methodist ‘Episco-
pal Church, South, then the said board is further authorized and em-
powered to release, cancel, and return to the said trustees all out-
standing principal and interest notes, and any notes given in exten-
sion or renewal thereof, which were secured by the deed of trust
from the trustees of the said church to R. T. Wilson, Trustee, dated
April twentieth, nineteen hundred and twenty-eight, and recorded in
the clerk’s office of the Hustings Court of the city of Petersburg, Vir-
ginia, in Deed Book number one hundred and ‘fifteen, page four
hundred and seventy, being the same deed of trust under which the
said board acquired title to the said property.
