the Southwestern State Hospital to lease to the United States, or to the ap-
propriate department, bureau or agency thereof, a certain parcel of land on
Staley’s Knob, containing approximately 5,000 square feet, as a site for a
beacon on the Nashville-Washington Airway. [H B 230]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
special board of directors of the Southwestern State Hospital, at Ma-
rion, is hereby authorized and empowered to lease to the United
States, or to the appropriate department, bureau or agency thereof,
under such terms and for such period of duration, as the said special
board shall determine, a certain parcel of land on Staley’s Knob, in
the county of Smyth, containing approximately five thousand square
feet, as a beacon site on the Nashville-Washington Airway. The
said lease shall be executed and delivered for and on behalf of the
said special board by the chairman thereof.
