Approved February 26, 1936
1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
Tax Code of Virginia be amended by adding thereto a new section
numbered three hundred and fifty-a, to read as follows:
Section 350-a. The citizen member of the county finance board

attendance as a member of the board a sum not less than five dollars
and mileage at the rate of five cents per mile for each mile of travel
on each day of such attendance by most direct route in going to and
returning from the place of meeting, such mileage, however, in no case

shall be paid by the board of supervisors out of the county levy, on a
certificate of attendance from the chairman of the county finance board,

in going to and returning from said meeting. The total compensation
paid under this section shall not exceed thirty dollars and mileage in
any one year.
