1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That section
forty-two hundred and sixty-seven of chapter one hundred and seventy
of the Code of Virginia, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:

Section 4267. Notice of assessment—Each notice of assessment
made by any corporation, association or society transacting the business
of life or casualty insurance, or both, upon the cooperative or assess-
ment plan, made upon its members, or any of them, shall truly state
the cause and purpose of such assessment.
