Chap. 330.—An ACT to empower the governing bodies of counties, cities and
towns to adopt ordinances, regulations, and other measures for controlling the
spread of rabies and the running at large of vicious and/or destructive dogs
within their boundaries, and to provide penalties for the violation of any

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
governing body of any county, city, or town may adopt such ordi-
nances, regulations or other measures as may reasonably be deemed
necessary to prevent the spread within its boundaries of the disease
of rabies, and to regulate and control the running at large within its
boundaries of vicious and/or destructive dogs, and may provide
penalties for the violation of any such ordinances.
