Chap. 318.—An ACT to name that portion of Route Five of the State Highway
System between Richmond and Williamsburg “The John Tyler Memorial
Highway.” [S B 273]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That that
portion of route five of the State highway system, extending from the
city of Richmond passing through Henrico county, Charles City county
and James City county to the point of its intersection with State high-
way route number thirty-one near the city of Williamsburg be, and
the same is hereby designated as “The John Tyler Memorial Highway”
in honor of John Tyler, tenth President of the United States.
2. The State Highway Commission is authorized and directed to
appropriately mark said highway.
