Chap. 309.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Hanover county to
appropriate a sum not to exceed $5,000.00 to the Patrick Henry Bi-Centennial,
Incorporated, for the purpose of aiding in the celebration of the bi-centennial
of the birth of Patrick Henry; and to declare an emergency. [H B 539]

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Hanover county is hereby authorized to appro-
priate from any of the public funds of the county whether budgeted or
not, a sum of money in the discretion of the board, not, however, to
exceed five thousand dollars, to a corporation to be chartered and
organized under the name of the Patrick Henry Bi-Centennial, Incor-
porated, for the purpose of aiding in the celebration of the bi-centennial
of the birth of Patrick Henry.
2. An emergency existing, this act shall be in force from its passage.
