Chap. 299.—An ACT to require that the bonds of all officers and employees of
the departments, agencies and institutions of the Commonwealth, except the
Division of Accounts and Control, be filed in the office of the State Comp-
troller, and that the bonds of all such officers and employees in the Division
of Accounts and Control be filed in the office of the Secretary of the Com-

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, That the
bonds of all officers and employees of all departments, institutions
and agencies of the Commonwealth, except the Division of Accounts
and Control, shall be filed in the office of the State Comptroller, and
that the bonds of all such officers and employees in the Division of
Accounts and Control shall be filed in the office of the Secretary of
the Commonwealth; provided, however, that nothing in this act shall
be construed to apply to notaries public, nor to commissioners of the
revenue, attorneys for the Commonwealth, clerks of courts, and
treasurers of the counties and cities, nor to other similar officers of a
purely local character.
