Chap. 256.—An ACT to abolish the Virginia War Memorial Commission, to
transfer the custody, control and supervision of the Virginia War Memorial
Carillon to the State Commission on Conservation and Development, and to
appropriate funds for the maintenance, upkeep and operation of the said

1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia, as follows:
Section 1. The Virginia War Memorial Commission which was
created by an act of the General Assembly of Virginia, approved March
twentieth, nineteen hundred and twenty-four, is hereby abolished.
Section 2. The custody, control and supervision of the Virginia
War Memorial Carillon in the capitol city of the Commonwealth is
hereby transferred to the State Commission on Conservation and De-
velopment, with instruction to the said commission to exert every effort
to carry out the provisions of the act appropriating State funds for
the erection of the said Carillon.
